Congratulations WA Mental Health Award winner Dan Cazangiu
Dan Cazangiu has been awarded the Lived Experience Impact and Inspiration Award at the annual WA Mental Health Awards held at the Hyatt on Thursday night 23 November.
Dan works as a mentor and peer worker for the Start Court program.
The North Metropolitan Health Service won two awards with King Edward Memorial Hospital Perinatal and Infant Mental Health program coordinator Leanda Verrier taking the Mental Health Employee or Volunteer Excellence Award.
Hosted by the Western Australian Association for Mental Health (WAAMH) the Awards recognise and reward the achievements of those who demonstrate excellence, innovation and initiative in supporting consumers of mental health services, their families and carers.
This year, 144 nominations were received across nine categories with 34 individuals, schools, employers and community groups named a finalists.
