Congratulations to Director Clinical Planning Emma Davies who was recently awarded the Rising Star award at the Australian College of Health Service Management annual conference.
North Metropolitan Health Service Chief Executive Dr Shirley Bowen said she was delighted that Emma had been publicly recognised.
"Emma is a strategic leader, both trusted and respected by her colleagues," said Dr Bowen.
"She has a strong teamwork ethic and actively promotes empowerment amongst her direct reports and peers. She employs a strength-based approach to enable her team to perform to their best and this is evidenced by the quality and success of the work Emma produces."
As program director for the NMHS Hospital Emergency Access Response Team (HEART) Program, Emma is a successful leader that empowers those around her facilitating shared vision and collaboration between various business units.
Emma's ability to consider, not only what is best for NMHS but also the broader WA health care system has resulted in her effectively leading multiple priority programs on the behalf of the system.
Emma was recognised for her commitment to improving patient care and outcomes and driving health system improvement and reform.
